We need to control children so we can feel safe or something.

Education is a human right. Not every child wants/can self teaching. Not every parent has the means and/or time to educate their children and/or pay private teachers. Thats were schools kick in and help out. To provide education to those that otherwise would not get access to it.

also we need to distinguish between the idea of school and education and the institution school. some ppl do a mistake by setting school == education, trying to give school a monopoly over education. even sometimes forcing children into school.

chatgpt and calculator wouldn’t exist without school
