The semi-final matches have been completed, and it is time for the finals!
Congrats to our two Finalists @Erwin-schrodinger and @firebatprime who will challenge each other to be crowned the 2023 Losers Chess Champion.
There will also be a match between @mental_suicide and @Douthy to determine the 3rd and 4th places of the tournament.
For those who don't know, these two matches will have 12 games instead of 10 and if the score is tied, then here are the tiebreaks (the tiebreaks are in chronological order, i.e. the next numbered tiebreak will be applied only if the tiebreak before that fails to give a winner):
1. 2 more games of 3+2 Time control.
2. 2 more games of 2+2 Time control.
3. 2 more games of 1+2 Time control.
4. 2 more games of 3+0 Time control.
5. Armageddon games.
Armageddon games rules:
There is no increment. As liantichess doesn't support adding time to opponents, the games will be both sides having the time control 2+1. The lower seed will play white in the first armageddon game, after which the colours will alternate. Here, the lower seeds are @Douthy and @Erwin-schrodinger. In the armageddon games, if any player wins the game, the match is over and that player wins the match. Only if the game ends in a draw, the next game will be played.
