Chess marathon tournament

I think having a 24hr one every month is too much, but seasonal or bi-annually seems good. Perhaps biannual would be better to really build up hype, get some momentum, and later, perhaps prize money too.

so how often is this marathon gonna be? i'm only gonna ever play in one of them.

too many is bad for health and de-hypes the other marathons

de-hype is the risk.

The schedule was made so to coincide with popular holidays or vacations as much as possible -- but without taking away family time. I hope it will suffice.

it's still a bit too often imo. should be more like once per year.

nobody really has time for these events if it's every season.

It was previously desired to be a monthly event. Seasonal is a good compromise between monthly and bi-annually, no?

I don't think it will lack hype. There are often seasonal and holiday events in life, why not here?
