Life Is Very Difficult

So, i am a good chess player and have about a rating of 1460 in standard and that my passion for becoming a doctor has also increased. To decide this my parents have set a target of 1800 to be completed by this year end. I know I don't have a lot of time. Just 5 months in hand can I increase 340 points in this time?
I'm confused. " To decide this" - what is "this" here?

Your parents let you study to be a doctor if you reach a rating of 1800, is this what you are saying?
If so, please tell your parents that doesn't make any sense at all. (;

my parents let me play chess if i reach 1800
to decide this means to decide whether to be a chess player or a doctor as @i-bex said
If you are at an age to study medicine and don't have a title yet I'd say go for medicine. Chess is not that lucrative unless you're on top or maybe a streamer.
I really want to say: decide for yourself, in your own heart, what you would really like to do. But I understand that is very difficult if you are dependent on your parents.

Is that 1800 FIDE or national rating ? I would feel a lot of pressure with such a "deal" but perhaps it can be done if you get enough support from your chess friends, and manage to get enough self esteem and will power to do it.
If you have the talent and passion and are able to spend enough time, it may be possible.

In Holland the girl Eline Roebers became IM at age 16, not so long ago (Last year ?). Studying some six hours chess per day, getting trained by an IM (Robert Ris) and having a FM as father, going along in some tourneys, was probably helpful.
How much time per day can you spend on chess studying, analyzing and playing ?

Be a doctor. Many many grandmasters have very little money. Only the very very top make good money from chess enough for a comfortable living. There are a few streamers who do well too. Realistically your odds of becoming even a national master are only statistically about 1/1000 (one out of one thousand chess players who take chess seriously). And a national master is nowhere even close to a grandmaster. Trust me. Become a doctor. You’ll live a comfortable life if you become a doctor.
