What are our views on Kasparov's ban from FIDE related events?
FIDE suks. Kasparov should join lichess!!
Kasparov, always a rebel, proving that he's still as hip and independent as ever. :P
goo kasparov
danny
Kasparov is not banned from all events. He is banned from office and representative positions. He can still visit, comment, organize FIDE tournaments. See here:

Also, the rules which define that a deal like that of kasparov and leong are unethical, were defined afer the actual deal was made. Also the objectivity of the judges is questionable. See Mark Watkins comment here:

a point that's not clear to me, Kasparov can still play in FIDE events, right? and if not, I'm guessing something else is stooping him? Thanks!
What exactly is it that Kasparov and Leong are accused of doing, what was the arrangement?
yes, he can still play in tournaments. he wont probably as he thinks hes not good enough to win them. I think he is wrong but thats just my opinion :-)
