Lichess's "lag compensation" continues to suck.

@for_cryingout_loud, you aren't actually adding anything to this discussion. You're just filling it with meta-complaints. You don't even seem to understand what we are talking about. This isn't about an "anti cheat system." It's about equitable lag compensation that is resistant to cheating. And you also don't seem to have any technical input whatsoever, or even an understanding of the primary technical issues involved. There is no "fighting" here to stop. And I have every right and reason to give feedback on lichess's sucky lag compensation as well as lobby for a particular alternative which (as an experienced professional in the field) I have and continue to provide strong arguments for and rebut arguments against.

Unless you can do the same, your participation in this thread isn't remotely helpful.

why argue why not put your money where your mouth is and prove it by making a system
to settle it instead of arguing all the time
because thats the only way something is going to happen here but lets fight until half life 3 comes out about this

What can I do on my end to reduce lag? I have the same problem across several networks, whether I am connected to my home, office, public, hotel internet after every 3 or 4 games (ultra bullet) my time runs down/clocks stop then when it reconnects I lose. Sometimes it tells me will be temporarily banned for not playing...Lol.

What is the cause of this?

Two reasons...

1) I don't have any interest in spending the time to do it.
2) Scala isn't one of the languages I know and I have zero desire to learn it.

Clear enough?

But the fact that I have no interest in doing it myself does not mean that I don't have an interest in seeing it done right or the expertise to understand the issues with the current implementation and how it can be done better.

You, on the other hand are *just* arguing and adding zero value to this discussion.

Maybe start a different thread for this... it has nothing to do with lag compensation.
