Remove the ability to delete posts on the forums

Hi there,

Title speaks for itself. Users should assume what was ever written.
Already brought that up in Discord. Guess the mods are aware but don't want to change it yet for some reasons.

Prohibiting users to delete their comments can create accidental misinformation.
Editing does not work because it could cause confusion in discussions and certain posts may be too old to edit.

What do you mean by "accidental misinformation" ?

Trolling cause confusion (just like #5...). Not editing.

For example, if I accidentally misstated a statistic or other piece of information.

It causes less confusion, since it can be assumed that whatever was said went against the forum etiquette or was false.

To add another point, not being able to delete posts would allow potentially unintended insults and toxicity to be displayed.

Yeah, but in another hand, if you don't allow others to see the mistake that was made or what was told wrong, there is no improvement possible...

If you're speaking about trolling, i do not agree with you. The trolling doesn't help and isn't pedagogical at all. It's just the consequence of the laziness of people who gave up explaining or argumenting. Not to mention the fact that trolling may also be a silly response to a judicious post, not only for what went against forum etiquette...

If you're speaking about editing, it can be ambiguous since it can be used just to correct grammar, or completely change the meaning of the first post.
