Opening Explorer for the lichess Database

Hey there, not sure if this is already an available feature and I missed it, but being able to explore a big openings tree generated from the database of games played in the server would be very fun and interesting way to learn and study openings.

In which openings am I scoring my worst in blitz?

What are the most played lines by the top players at lichess?

How does my favorite line of the Sicilian score vs white?

It would be fantastic to have chessbase-like tools capable of answering there questions here!
That seems like a great idea - I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement. I would certainly love some more detailed stats on opening successes and failures.
If lichess were to create an opening explorer for everyone that would be another phenomenally helpful feature.

Money hungry sites like chess.com severely limit your use. I've also used other sites that only let you view a couple moves deep before they require you to register to go further. If lichess would offer a service like this for FREE it would only bring more and more good attention to the site.

I doubt it is incredibly difficult to implement, there are tons of databases featuring high level players to download. I'm sure an opening explorer database could be created from them (and the lichess database) programmatically.
Another point is that most opening explorers are based on FIDE rated games and so after a few moves deep the sample size becomes statistically insignificant.

With a database of online games, the quality wouldn't be as good but it would more than make up for this with quantity.
