"Comment deleted by user"

People like to go on spurious unhinged rants, and then delete those posts as a precursor to flaming everyone, deleting their account and presumably bursting into tears. At least that's my observation.

That is why when I participate in a discussion, I always quote the person I am talking to because it can't be deleted then and I won't look like I am talking to myself... hahaha. ... not that there is anything wrong with that... ;-)

That has happened to me before too... and we have to have the edit feature because sometimes I spell things terribly without checking before posting. If we have an edit feature though, people can always edit their whole post and just delete it... so... there are many ways to hide a post.

If something gets a lot of dislikes, it is probably better to delete it as not to offend more people... I think it is wise... People CAN make mistakes and it would be good to retract those, no?
Have you never had second sober thoughts about anything you have said or posted?

Atleast there's a feature where one only has a limited amount of time to be able to edit posts, after this alloted time you cannot. :).

Yes, I accidentally found that limit one time when I made a lot of spelling mistakes in long post. I finally had to let it go.
