If I am sick, should I be playing chess?

<Comment deleted by user>
Maybe casual only? I don't think I could play rated in your condition. A headache already throws me off. Best wishes.
Play Unrated games to keep your skills up to date. Get well ASAP!
Chess playing requires both physical and mental wellbeing.
I would avoid Rated games to prevent point drops :-(
hello. dude, me and my friends stunk a lot. that is to say that we play while roling and drinking, and in my house the rules are like that, when the mountain club meets he or she that thas not smoke nor drinks are not welcome for the chess nights. as a dirty zen master i have to let u know that what matters is the moment u play, the points are an offshot of the game that u may want or not. enjoy chess, get well and may caissa be with you
You may or may not play at your best, you'd have to try it to see. But either way it could take your mind off the bug. Hope you get well soon!
It provides good excuse for losing.. Tartakower said he never won a game against a complete healthy
Try playing chess whilst you are unwell and then compare your results against when you play when you are well. You’ll be able to answer your own question.

Don’t take any medicine because that could shorten your period of feeling unwell meaning the results of the experiment would be skewed as your period of sickness would be shortened and the number of sample games insufficient to reach an accurate conclusion.

Hope this helps.
