Some cryptocurrencies are indeed unprivate, in case of Bitcoin blockchain and all transactions are public.
But in case of Monero all transactions are private, this open-source cryptocurrency designed with anonymity and privacy in mind. You can read about it on their website getmonero.org or on Wikipedia wikipedia.org/wiki/Monero
FFE dont care about the promotion of chess unless it brings them profits....
we are in a new era where regardless of the brands prestige...
they have the same disgusting goal... all of them.... which is profit...
we are indeed in a new era... where we can say the truth on every company/government regardless of their prestige...
you seek profit above all ...
you dont appreciate peoples effort...

Simple question: does Lichess really want to use donations for being partner of the French Federation?
Energy consumption will be the challenge to mitigate and will decide whether cryptocurrencies gain public traction in such a way that everybody is using it without hindrance in the future. There's not enough data for this and I sometimes don't understand the purpose of these other aspects of Blockchain when there are already great existing measures in place.

But this Immortal venture seems to be building on this and probably will use the confusion to make some riches. I don't think they are revolutionizing chess in any manner. More theatrics for the sake of it. At least let the users know why this show is happening in the first place. No data in this regard as to the how and why.

MVL, Leinier Dominguez and many more, and maybe even Fabi have already endorsed this (not sure) and Magnus with his NFTs craze and publicity stunts will probably encash on this too. MVL was skeptical about crypto but he jumped in when he met the founders of Immortal game apparently, totally convinced. Poor decision making from a former mathematician. @avalongamemaster

Hopefully it's not a cult.

May I ask when and why 'denouncing' (as still appears here in the forum) was changed to 'questioning'?
From what I've heard, still the best description of crypto is Dunning-Krugerrands
