I played in the thematic tournament "English Opening" 5+0. I had 5 times black in a row and played 2 games with the same player. After that I left the tournament. Can this be correct? Does anyone have similar experiences? Please tell me!
I had like 6 times in a row the white pieces in a thematic tournament as well, then somehow I got black a few times in a row as well !
In the last atomic tournament I played, I had 9 blacks in a row. Really bad luck for atomic especially.

That is the tournament.

I was playing as white five times in a row in an atomic tournament. http://en.lichess.org/tournament/7is8wrkn
Then again, the stronger side wins, and I lost most of those five games since I suck at it.

Thank you for your answers! So it seems that there is no priority for changing colours at all! It's just randomly selected in every game. That sounds really strange to me. I think this should be improved.
Would you like to suggest an algorithm? Most tournaments run by random color pairing anyway.
Try to match colors 50/50 and max 3 games in a row with same color.
Excuse me, Unihedron, I don't really understand. So you say there are tournaments where it's different? Then why not use this better system here, too?
#7, that sounds reasonable. Isn't it like that in OTB tournaments? Plus impossibility to play twice with the same player.
It's still the same: six times Black out of six games in an Atomic tournament: http://de.lichess.org/tournament/paX5ILKn. Not the best algorithm for any tournament and even worse for Atomic ;-)
