Is it wrong to want to win?
You will lose the games you try to winThere are no more significant number of errors I can produce than when trying to win a game.
What's the deal?
Forgetting to think about your opponent comes from thinking only about your next move. In trying to win, that's shorthand for trying to minimize the number of moves left in the game. The problem is that perspective often ignores the chances your opponent is creating as you try to see the advantage from your own perspective.
Stop trying to win. Look for opportunities.
