Guys I have tested it on the latest version of chrome on ubuntu 20.04, when the page loading takes too long that bug appears, if internet is too slow that the page loads step by step, after the board appears on the screen, all pieces appear collapsed on each side of it. so it's about page loading speed. try to limit your internet speed to like 128 Kbit/sec and it will happen one time out of ten at least.

Opera and the new Edge should work well, as they both are now based on Chromium (just like Google Chrome).
