Pawn majority + rook in the end game ...white resigned (rightfully so) ....i go to analyze the game because it seemed even most of the game ...well....i thought it was even....then stockfish gives me -50.5 at the time of resignation.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you increase depth it will tell you it's mate in 15 for black I don't see what's the issue?
Stockfish counts down everything to relative value of single pawn.
So if position is equal but You have one pawn more that your opponent then You'll get +1, but when You have one pawn more than your opponent and positional advantage then the value would be higher i.e. +5.
Negative values tels you that black is the side who is wining.
-50 means that black combined position, material and initiative are so great that white should resign.
h i was assuming (+) numbers meant you're winning and (-) numbers meant you were losing regardless of color...so it's (-) for black winning and (+) for white winning...wow...i feel like an idiot but at least now I know
