How to formulate plan in this situation?

While solving puzzles I stumbled upon lichess.org/training/63662

I did it correctly, but have no idea how to continue.
Tried to check witch stockfish, but can't understand why its moving the way it does.

What should be my thinking process?

Most of the times I can create some plan(better or worse but there is some), but this is one of this situation when my next few moves wold be almost random.

Looking at Stockfish lines, it appears the aim is to safeguard the Black king position first, then use threats against the White King to force exchanges that lead to an ending in which Black is a piece up. Another possible ending is where rooks are exchanged and Black has R N B and passed pawns, which pose too many problems for the lone White Q.
