What when u as a high player coud play w/o queen vs someone much lower? Or you play with less time? The players would win or lose elopoints versus much lower or higher rated players. More playable games are then avaible.
This is something I hope to see, but I don't really have my hopes up. Especially not for rated games. Figuring out the rating change for a handicap game requires a ton of data, someone who knows how to analyze the data (I can help if it comes to that), and AFAIK has never been done before on any chess website.
For unrated games, they just might implement it one day.
Also, while it's true that allowing handicaps makes matching easier, in my experience it isn't an acute problem, matches are quick enough as it is. (Perhaps this is more of a problem for players on the extreme ends of the spectrum).
When playing with a friend, you can always give material handicap "Manually" by starting a game from position.
